Further to the discussions held during the A.G.M regarding the FRMC hosting a SAM vintage flying day, it has been arranged for Sunday 28th March 2010.

The field will be dedicated to this event for the entire day.

Further details will be confirmed nearer the time.

18th October 2009

Would all members please note that the club A.G.M will be held on Monday 16th November 2009.

We have a change of venue this year. The meeting will be held at the Annexe Inn, Lydney. For directions, click HERE.

There is a large car park behind The Annexe and access from the rear garden.

Members are requested to arrive at 7.30pm for a prompt 8.00pm start and a buffet will be provided.

To those prospective new members who have been in contact recently, you are welcome to attend as well.

For anyone interested in indoor flying, Gloucester Model Flying Club has resumed flying at the Dome at Bentham, Gloucester.

They fly there every Saturday evening from October to March and non-members are welcome. The cost is £5.00 per session and BMFA insurance is mandatory.

10th August 2009

Please note that the LMA show at Much Marcle has been cancelled for 2009. This is because a recent steam rally caused considerable damage to the ground and it is unlikely to recover in time for the model show.

Closer to home, please note that there will be another shooting session in our field on 5th September 2009. Obviously the field will be closed to the model club that day.

15th May 2009

Good News!

The farmer has given us a date to resume flying.

We can start flying again on Saturday 23rd May 2009.

Please note that we are not allowed to drive down to the strip for off-loading. We are only allowed to park in the field.

Two members have negotiated with the farmer to drive down to the strip due to disability. If you see them doing so, please do not follow their example. The rest of the membership MUST NOT drive down the field.

Happy flying!

4th April 2009

IMPORTANT! - Please note:

The annual flying stoppage for the lambing season has been announced by the farmer.

All model flying is to cease at the Woolaston site from Tuesday 14th April 2009 i.e we can fly upto and including bank holiday Monday 13th April 2009 but not after that date until further notice.

I have received an email from Bill-Kits, which may be of interest to anyone needing custom foam wings etc.
